Terms and Conditions
These terms cover your use of carerscompass.com.au (the "site") and any resources or communications provided through it. By using the site or joining the waitlist, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
As the site grows to include the community care directory, calculators, the difficult conversations simulator, or paid offerings, these terms will be updated to cover those additions. If material changes happen, I'll notify subscribers by email.
Who these terms are between
These terms are an agreement between you and Performance Leaders Australia Pty Ltd (ACN [insert ACN]), trading as Carers Compass, operating from New South Wales, Australia. In these terms, "I" and "me" refer to the company; Carers Compass is its registered business name. You can reach me at diane@dianegatto.com.
Age
You need to be at least 18 to use this site or join the waitlist.
What the site currently offers
Right now, the site is a coming-soon page with an email waitlist. When it launches, it will include resources for family carers navigating aged care, a community care directory, and tools such as care cost calculators and a conversation practice simulator. Paid offerings may be added over time — those will be covered by their own terms when they go live.
General information, not advice
Carers Compass exists to help family carers know what to do, who to ask, and what to ask for. Everything on the site is general information and education. Nothing here is, or should be treated as, medical or health advice, legal advice, or financial advice – including financial product advice – and none of it is tailored to your circumstances or those of the person you care for.
Aged care decisions are significant, personal, and often financial. Before acting on anything you read here, please seek advice from an appropriately qualified professional — a doctor, lawyer, financial adviser, or aged care specialist, as the situation requires.
No endorsement
Where the site refers to or lists services, providers, government programs, or other organisations, this is for information only. A mention or listing is not an endorsement, and I don't guarantee the quality, availability, or suitability of any third-party service. You're responsible for making your own enquiries before engaging any provider.
Using the site and its content
Everything on the site — writing, resources, tools, directory content, images, design, and branding — is my intellectual property or licensed to me. Carers Compass is a registered trade mark. You're welcome to:
Read it
Share links to it
Quote short excerpts with attribution.
You're not permitted to:
Republish or redistribute the content as your own
Scrape the directory or reproduce it elsewhere
Use the content to train AI models
Use it commercially without written permission.
If you'd like to quote at length, teach from it, or use it in a workshop or program, please email me — I'm generally happy to say yes to reasonable requests.
Accuracy
I take care with what I publish, but the Australian aged care system is in the middle of major reform, and rules, programs, subsidies, and provider details change frequently. I reserve the right to correct, update, or remove information at any time without notice, and I don't warrant that everything is complete, accurate, or current at the moment you read it. Always confirm important details with the relevant provider or government body (such as My Aged Care) before relying on them.
Third-party links and services
The site may link to other websites, tools, or resources. I don't control those and I'm not responsible for their content, terms, or how they handle your data. If you follow a link, review that site's own terms and privacy practices.
As-is basis
I do my best to keep the site running and the information useful, but it's provided as-is. I don't guarantee it will always be available, error-free, or meet every reader's specific needs. Your use of the site is at your own discretion.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by Australian law, I won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of the site or its content. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that can't be excluded.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of New South Wales.
Changes
I may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated terms.
